Recovery based meeting followed by a community based workout
It is no secret that SUD disorder ravishes the mind and spirit but what about the body? Most people with SUDs have used for decades and their physical health has seriously declined with it. When RFIT is used in conjunction with a mind or spiritual program the results have been encouraging.
and here is the thing, we are not the first to do it. According to FIt to Recover (FTR) a Non Profit out of Salt Lake city, reports the following..
1) 97% of the people they have serves said fitness helped with their recovery.
2) 93% reported being less depressed
3) 94% reported being motivated to continue
and this isn't all... According to The Phoenix ( National Non profit ) who now serves 22 states reports the following...
1) a whopping 87% of the individuals they serve reported remaining sober after three months of attendance.
2) 85% felt an increase in connectedness
3) 89% felt more hopeful
4) 94% felt a stronger sense of self
5) 94% felt an increased meaning of life
6) 92% feel more empowered
THE PHOENIX HAS SERVED MORE THAN 50,000 PEOPLE
We are seeing the same results here at RFIT. These numbers are much different than the norms we are used to when dealing with SUDs.
We know health and community are valuable bridges to long term recovery.
2. We take our class lesson to the floor and make it tangible. There is nothing that exercise and community doesn't make better
3. We start and finish together.
